Ideal candidate does not exist

If you are just studying or looking for work, having all of these skills will be an absolute plus. But in any case, in each company, whether it is a cozy agency or a huge corporation, specific qualities or character traits that are important to them are also required. For example, fighting spirit or, conversely, modesty. Therefore, the main thing is to understand what kind of person you are and what you really want.

Timur Zhabbarov, co-founder and CEO of Smart Course: “For a person to come to work for me, he must have the same level of values with me. He must be able to hear the task, reformulate it into a plan, and also be independent - to take responsibility and not to "merge" the task. And you need to keep in mind that each company has its own communication culture and it must be integrated into it.

As soon as we make hyper-generalizations, for example, “any company” or “an ideal job candidate”, any descriptions immediately turn into lies. All companies are different. The army, the Russian state corporation, NASA and Apple have completely different values, which means that candidates require different qualities.

Ekaterina Podvalnaya, Director of Talent Management and Personnel Development at Beeline University: “Any person can get a job only when he shows his sincere interest. I would say that this is not something young people lack. The key thing is missing in companies, both Russian and international, namely the environment. Modern, young, talented and smart people, eager to do something cool, come in an environment that turns out to be hierarchical, uninteresting and boring. I think it is companies that need to think about how to change, not young people who are all beautiful. ”
